Design Based Upon Risk Assessment Results, NOT Generics
In today's threatening environment, when dealing with anything from healthcare to education, houses of worship to industrial, or stadiums to museums a design team MUST implement threat/ vulnerability/ cost-justified security measures…not just a blanket design of cameras, locks, access control, etc. Be a good steward of the client’s budget by only implementing measures that are proven required. A Physical Security Professional (PSP) works alongside AE Design Teams to conduct analysis and recommend justified and unbiased mitigation measures (techniques/concepts/product types).
DID YOU KNOW: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security ALL require an ASIS certified Security Professional (PSP or CPP) to serve on a facility design team (VA Physical Security & Resiliency Design Manual Oct 2020, sect 1.8; Unified Facilities Criteria 4-010-01; Unified Facilities Criteria 4-020-01, sect 1.8).
